Originally from Auckland, Jamie began as a builder’s apprentice straight out of school and hasn’t looked back. Moving from Auckland, to North Canterbury, and then settling in Christchurch has seen Jamie become an established Cantabrian and well placed to respond to the new building conditions after the Canterbury earthquakes.
Irma is the day-to-day operations manager, enabling Registered Master Builder Jamie to supervise every build with a keen eye on the detail, earning him the nickname ‘Hawkeye’ from his Buchan Homes team.
The Buchan Homes team of builders work alongside a dedicated team of specialised building partners in Christchurch. This offers clients a full concept, design, manufacture and installation service for every aspect of their home and garden.
In the months following the Canterbury earthquakes Jamie spent much of his time assessing homes across the region. The earthquakes changed the thinking of many builders in Christchurch, and learning from this has led to a much deeper understanding of how seismic movement influences the structure of homes.
If you’re considering renovating or building in Christchurch, Buchan Homes can do it all, new builds, renovations, repairs and alterations. They are a small and passionate team who take huge pride in their work, earning them a well-deserved reputation for outstanding workmanship and attention to detail.
